The Rossi alpha of the University of Maryland Reactor was measured at criticality and at shutdown by the Babala interval-distribution method. At criticality, α= 188.8 ± 4.7 sec^-1, and at shutdown, α= 1026.6 ± 4.1 sec^-1. The shutdown reactivity was found to be ρ/β = -4.44 ± 0.14 dollars.en_US
