dc.description.abstract | This article reports on the progress of the study-abroad class at the University of Maryland to St. Petersburg, Russia designed for students in library and information sciences in the United States. It took place in May 2012 and then was repeated in 2014. The development of this class has led to other partnership opportunities between the University of Maryland Libraries, the University Of Maryland School Of Information Studies, the St. Petersburg University of Culture and Arts and the Library of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Although this has been a major step forward, much work remains to be done. | en_US |
