Convexity of the Larget Singular Value of e^DMe^-D - a Convexity Lemma.

Abstract

A rigorous proof is given for a convexity lemma used by Chu and Doyle to prove the convexity of the largest singular value of e^DMe^-D on a commuting, convex subset of matrices.
