dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this study was to gain insight into parent perspectives of a community children’s chorus. The research questions were aimed at exploring the goals and expected outcomes of a community children’s chorus and to determine the alignment of parent perspectives with these goals. They also sought to explore the alignment of parent perspectives with the artistic processes of the National Core Arts Standards (NCAS); as well as gain an understanding of what were the important aspects that parents wanted their child(ren) to experience in a community children’s chorus. This research also sought to investigate any differences that may exist among musician and non-musician parents with regard to their responses. | en_US |
