dc.description.abstract | The Military Women’s Memorial, located at the gateway to Arlington National Cemetery, honors and tells the stories of women, past and present, who serve our nation in, or with, the United States Armed Forces. Our virtual tour will highlight the Memorial’s history and hard-won efforts to create a national memorial to women’s military service and education center and will walk participants through key features of our facility. An overview of our collections and our recently updated Register—the two methods by which we gather and preserve stories of women’s service—will be followed by a snapshot of our most recent exhibit, “The Color of Freedom: Honoring the Diversity of America’s Servicewomen.” | en_US |
