| dc.description | The following reference sources were consulted for titles, issue numbers, former owners and/or sellers, booksellers and/or auction houses, sales dates, and prices (asking, hammer, and/or realized): auction websites; American Book Prices Current (ABPC); Book Auction Records (BAR), Bookman's Price Index (BPI); Book Prices Current (BPC); Rare Book Hub (RBH); and selected newspaper articles (New York Times, New York Tribune, Philadelphia Inquirer, Publisher's Weekly) and auction catalogs. Sales records from these sources were cross-checked against each other, and supplemented with CPI-adjusted 2023 prices calculated using the MeasuringWorth.com Purchasing Power calculator. | |
