Abstract
Notes
This conference presentation describes two projects undertaken by Priddy Library staff to support student employee professional development. At Priddy Library, we view our relationship with student employees as an opportunity to build professional skills and career competencies with our student employees, especially important as this allows us to provide supportive opportunities for students often left out of unpaid internship experiences. As such, we have been collaborating with our campus Career Services department to provide our student employees with the resources and experiences that they might otherwise not have time to prioritize.
This presentation details collaboration between Priddy Library and our campus Career Services department. Attendees of this lightning talk will learn how to build similar collaborations, get inspiration for their own ideas for partnerships with Career Services, and propel their career readiness initiatives to take flight!
