This session will feature practical ideas with which to make a difference in the areas of equitable open access and enhanced social justice in scholarly communication. Jocelyn Dawson from the Coalition on Diversity and Inclusion in Scholarly Communications will provide an introduction to new equity toolkits. Two UMD faculty members, Dr. Michael Dougherty (Department of Psychology) and Dr. Patricia Alexander (Department of Human Development and Quantitative Methodology), will share ideas for how individuals can enhance equity in their own research processes, their disciplines, and their scholarly societies. Discussion and questions will be moderated by Mark Puente, Associate Dean of Organizational Development, Diversity, and Inclusion at Purdue University.en_US
