Abstract

Disparities in minority health continue to be a major health care issue in Memphis, but a determined group of health care, academic, government and faith-based entities is working diligently to address those disparities. The Consortium for Health Education, Economic Empowerment and Research is a health-equity research initiative housed at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
