In these poems, I explore the distances between two people, in either a literal way, or through memory. Through the spaces between people, I examine the speaker's relation to them, and consequently, the focus turns inward: the poems about other people ultimately become about the speaker. The knowledge gained from the focus inward becomes problematic, as the insights become ethical complications that the poems must work their way out of.en_US
