dc.description.abstractThe following thesis documents the process of the costume design for the co-production of A Child Shall Lead Them: The Making of The Night of the Hunter. This document includes a conceptual approach, costume and character research photos, pencil sketches, color costume renderings, photographs of treated fabric samples, in-process fitting photos and production photos. A Child Shall Lead Them: The Making of The Night of the Hunter is a co-production between the Department of Theatre, Dance and Performance Studies at The University of Maryland and the Department of Theatre at Georgetown University. The production opened on November 4th, 2011 under the direction of Derek Goldman. The design team included set designer J.D. Madsen, lighting designer Drew Kaufman, and projections designer Jared Mezzochi.en_US
