dc.description.abstract | Invisible Topography is a collection of poems written primarily in open forms that has at its heart an exploration of the disruption and yet permanence of the nuclear family. Sustaining the narrative of family are memories of cultural dislocation and romantic loss. The poetic voice is indirect and understated, guided by quiet observation. The collection also contains two translations from the Portuguese, included here because the study of Latin American poetry and language has been crucial to this poet's development. | en_US |
