dc.description.abstract | Lurin, a unique and historical district within Lima, provides many different opportunities to help improve the quality of life of its existing communities. It contains diverse people of varying income levels and ethnic backgrounds. It is known for its famous agricultural sites and local sources of fresh produce. However, many communities need to be more developed within the area, and vacant homes or pieces of land are abandoned. This provides an opportunity to help improve the quality of life of the existing community without taking away homes or areas of importance. Creating affordable housing mixed with agricultural fields helps sustain these communities with local produce and economic opportunities. | en_US |
