dc.description.abstract | We propose a new approach for laying out Boolean functions which is based on extracting the symmetries of a given set of functions and applying optimization procedures especially tailored to exploit these symmetries. This paper establishes a rigorous foundation for this approach and shows that it will outperform existing methods for many classes of the functions. The different components of a newly developed system, SYMBL, will be briefly described. | en_US |
