OA is A-OK! Challenging Open Access Publishing Fear in the Humanities

Abstract

This zine is a quick guide to open access publishing for humanities faculty and researchers who are hesitant about the process. This guide seeks to dispel common concerns about open access publishing such as author rights, levels of access, and article processing charges (APCs), while establishing reasons to support open access publishing. It is meant to be a beginners guide to open access publishing and offers readers tools and additional resources to further explore the levels of open access, Creative Commons licenses, and find OA journals.
