Abstract

Hospital-Associated Infections (HAIs) are a key CMS outcome evaluation measure selected for the 10th SOW core contract. This report presents data on three specific HAIs: • Central line-associated bloodstream infections (CLABSIs) • Catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTIs) • Clostridium difficile infections (CDIs) To help QIOs view HAIs through the lens of health equity, these data are further broken down by several demographic characteristics including sex, race/ethnicity, age, dual eligibility, urban/rural status, and the local poverty level in the beneficiary's home zip code.
