This research paper is my undergraduate capstone paper and it highlights details about the prevalence of neural tube defects in the United States. Furthermore, the paper discusses the etiology of neural tube defects in the United States, the population affected, the treatment process and the gap in the literature that may help reduce the prevalence of the disease and improve quality of life for those affected.
