The Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE) program is a USDA-funded, producer-driven grants and education program that provides funding for farmers to research and develop sustainable farming practices. SARE grant projects highlight sustainable farming innovations developed by farmers, ranchers, researchers, and agricultural professionals. These innovations work to improve the environment, maintain farmer profitability, and improve the quality of life for farm workers and their communities. SARE Outreach produces publications that are peer-reviewed by farmers and agricultural specialists and feature research-based, best practices for many topics in sustainable agriculture. Explore our collection of books and bulletins for practical information on topics like cover cropping, soil maintenance, weed management, business management, and many more by visiting our Resources and Learning Center.
