
Magnetic data collected at Lava Beds National Monument (LBNM) was funded by a combination of the NASA PSTAR TUBEX project (Dr. Kelsey Young – PI), the NASA Goddard Instrument Field Team, and the NASA PSTAR GILA-MONSTER project under NASA grants NNX16AK11G and NNX15AL87G. The magnetic team was led by Dr. Ernest Bell, and included Drs Kelsey Young, Jacob Richardson, Sajad Jazayeri, and Sanaz Esmaeili.

All the Magnetic data collected at LBNM was collected using a Gem Systems GSM-19W magnetometer, mounted on an aluminum backpack frame at an elevation of ~2m, at a data point frequency of 2Hz.

All data are within a bounding box with the following WGS84 corner point coordinates:
-121.514573, 41.731567, -121.503133, 41.730370.

Data included in the analysis was within the following range:
48200 nT < data included < 60000 nT
Data points outside this range were considered anomalous readings.
